Welcome to the Q2 wrap-up on the GRID. We had a record quarter, with some of the most important esports events from each of the titles available on the GRID Data Platform taking place in Q2 24 and breaking viewership records.

📣 Q2 Highlights
The Rainbow Six Siege Data Portal Launch
As a result of our exclusive data partnership with Ubisoft, R6 professional esports teams participating in the BLAST circuit, for the first time, can access official in-game data from their games. Access to data is supported with access to analytics tools to power their talent evaluation, player coaching, and strategizing. Check the interview with Moritz Maurer, GRID’s Founder & CEO, and David Parent, Senior Manager of Global Esports Business Development & Partnerships at Ubisoft, to learn more.
Champion of Champions Tour – CS2 Season 1 Finals, Season 2 Start & Dota2 expansion
Champion of Champions (CCT), a CS2 tournament circuit commissioned by GRID, had a bustling quarter. It wrapped the regular season of CCT Counter-Strike (CS) Season 1 with a record-breaking viewership of the Global Finals and kicked off CCT Season 2 in April. In addition, Q2 marked the expansion of CCT into a brand new Dota2 tournament series, CCT Dota2, which started at the end of June.
Abios x Kambi x GRID – Partnership expansion – LoL & R6 Data to power Kambi’s odds
GRID announced a partnership extension with Swedish sports betting technology and services provider Kambi Group in June. The extension integrates GRID’s live esports data into the esports odds provided by Kambi subsidiary Abios. Through the partnership, Abios will now provide R6 and LoL live data feeds to its odds provision.
⚙️ Product Highlights
New Data Points for League of Legends
Additional data points are also tracked for the R6 and LoL Data Portals. The LDP is now tracking data related to abilities, items and NPCs such as Dragons, Baron, and void grubs. “Void Grubs” is a relatively recent addition to the LoL gameplay, replacing the Baron in the game’s first stages. Instead of a single NPC, there are multiple VoidGrubs, which provide incremental bonuses when slain. Our data feed now correctly represents them, how many are alive, and which heroes have killed them
Technical adjustments for R6 Siege
We’ve improved integration complexity by adding fail-safe mechanisms for “rehosts” (i.e., when the game crashes and needs to be resumed on a different server). Our systems are now prepared to ingest more frequent updates, enabling more confident damage and healing updates, which usually pose significant difficulties in tracking while working with in-game data.
Player Data & Game-related entities for Dota 2
The GRID now has Dota 2 players’ static data. API users can search for players’ match data and related esports statistics, including K/D/A, win/loss ratios, and objectives.
Open Access: Player Data & Game-related entities for Dota 2 & new Playground
All Dota 2 updates are also available to Open Access users. In addition, a brand new GraphQL is now available in the Data Portal Documentation, with many new and advanced features to help you understand and experiment with the GRID APIs and Data.
The API calls for Tournaments, Series, Esports Organizations, Teams, Players, Series States, and Stats can be visualized, edited, and tried with all their options and parameters in a safe and user-friendly environment, with all the latest capabilities powered by GraphQL.
