November 9, 2023 – Berlin, Paris – GRID has been selected as the multi-year exclusive Esports Live Data Platform and will collaborate with Ubisoft to grow the esports data ecosystem for BLAST R6. The first set of esports data will be available during the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta.

This partnership will empower GRID Esports to oversee the distribution of all official BLAST R6 data assets, covering major global and regional tournaments, including BLAST Majors and Six Invitationals. GRID and Ubisoft have collaborated to establish the data infrastructure and APIs required to source data from the esports gameservers. These esports data assets include granular, real-time, in-game statistics for pro players, teams, and matchups, which will be available exclusively on the GRID Data Platform, starting with the data from the upcoming BLAST R6 Major Atlanta.

Both partners are committed to collaborate closely to unlock data-driven opportunities within the Rainbow Six Esports ecosystem, such as enhancing fan engagement, innovating broadcasts, advancing player coaching, and monitoring the integrity of the competition.

At Ubisoft, we recognize the need to innovate in the fast-paced space that esports is, and to keep our community constantly engaged. Our partnership with GRID and the shared understanding of our esports data’s potential promises to unlock exciting opportunities to engage fans and innovate across the board.” – says Francois Tallec, VP, Brand & Transmedia Partnerships at Ubisoft.

The legacy of Rainbow Six Siege is a great foundation to build upon and we are excited to make esports game data part of this incredible ecosystem.
